This project explores visual communication design in the context of complex informational and technological systems. The immersive, interactive exhibition project that I created showcases Fairlight CMI (Computer Musical Instrument ) in the old days reborn to an immersive screen that is planned to be presented in the Powerhouse Museum.
The proposal visually represents the relationship with people, information, and technology. The project aims to educate and entertain people regarding sound waves and diverse audio tracks from the Fairlight library. The interactive music and sound wave screen provide the user an opportunity to make music by tapping on different music keyboards that have different sounds.
Throughout this multi-sensory experience, they can immerse themselves in listening to music they created within their taste. The visualisations shown vary on the genre of music, and the user can see how sound waves set and move in different sounds. This small-screen interactive piece will provide so much creativity and informative experience to users that love music and art.
